Nothing much to Report

So I really haven't been up to much, just figuring out everything for the party this weekend. You should know about it, so be there. Other than that, I watched some Newsradio DVDs, and applied for some jobs, I know sounds super exciting. Here's something else for those who like Pearl Jam. Saturday July 1st at 9pm central they are playing on VH1's Storytellers so check it out, I know I will.

Here's just a question for those who may know. The video iPod can play video onto my tv using the ir dock and or just the video cord. When doing this things like the play button display on the screen as well as volume control so why can't they just have the whole ipod interface also display on the tv and through using their remote, control the ipod wirelessly? Seems simple enough as it would be just displaying what is normally on the iPod screen just display it on the tv. Simple at home wireless jukebox. Anyone???

Time Flies this Summer

So I'm looking back and damn June 5th was awhile ago. And man there have been some craziness going on. So to start it off I ended up going out with BA and Cahill on that Thursday (8th) to Jakes and then crashing at Dave's place. When I got up to leave Friday my car wouldn't start. Ended up having to get it towed, and was thus without a car till Wed the 14th. It turned out to be my ignition coil. So that weekend I ended up staying in town Friday and then riding with Dave into the city to meet Barbara at Eileen's party. Where we ended up walking around Old Town's Art festival, and then stopping for some lunch. The party was great and I got to see Brian who was in town.

Then Sunday we went out to Ravinia to see Elvis Costello play, some slight rain on us but nothing much. The day was totally fun and it wasn't as crowded as I remembered the last time I was there.

Monday Barbara and I just hung out and watch some TV nothing exciting, and Tuesday I took the train into the city and meet Dave Julie and Dan for some bleacher action Cubs viewing. After the ride back I took one for the team and went back to town with Dan and Julie and then hopped a cab in Mundelien where BA and I had some drinks.

Sat around all day Wed waiting for my car and finally got it then stuck around for some baseball viewing. Thursday I drove back to my dad's to apply for some jobs online and get cleaned up and stuff. After doing all my Computer crap, I headed out to Barbara's place, where we made dinner and chatted it up.

Friday I was in charge of getting the keg for Dave's T-shirt party, so I headed back into Mundelien while Barbara attended a work function, of dinner and bowling. I couldn't believe a keg with all the deposits and stuff ran $150, that's steep. Enjoyed the party it was warm at first but a blast.

Saturday rose up early and headed back to Oak Park to meet Barbara, who was out shopping. We then went to Carnival for an early dinner around 5pm as we were headed out to Northern Island for a Jewel, Rob Thomas show. Had great 7th row seats and despite some slight rain the shows both kicked some major ass. Although the Jewel set was a little short. We ended up getting back around midnight and crashing.

Sunday was father's day so Barbara and I went out to lunch with her parents and sister at Wildfire, and man what a great meal. Then after that we drove out to Wayne to BBQ with my Dad, and I needed to catch up on some prep work cause I had two interviews Monday. She ended up going horse back riding while I did that stuff. Then we had some shish kabobs, and strawberry pie. Then we headed back to Oak Park.

Monday I took the El into my interviews which both went well and will hopefully produce something. One was at a job placement agency that I had used in the past. It was hot walking around the city all dressed up but I managed, and got back around 4:30pm. We ended up making some dinner and talked, and watch some TV.

Then Tuesday I drove back out to Wayne, where on my way I got a flat tire just as I got off I355. Well no biggie right? Of course my lug wrench that comes with my car is rusted and won't fit the lugs. So I waited for a wrench and finally got the tire changed out. The valve had broke. Stopped at Sears and got a new wrench and then headed back to Wayne just to run into road construction. Finally mad it back though.

So future stuff, lets see Thursday I'm meeting the other helpers for Intonation fest in the city at a bar, Friday night is DinnerClub and Saturday is my day to help out at Intonation. Then some down time till the 4th party which is on the 1st. Sweet that it, hope everyone is having a fun summer so far.

Busy busy busy

So where have I been? The Cubs game for one. We went out there Sunday to watch them lose. But it was fun anyways. Then had a few days to relax before heading out to Deer Creek Indiana for the DMB show. Was a blast, a solid 7.75 out of 10. It rain for 12 hours from Thursday night till Friday morning, but other than that great weather. Overall fun was had. Greg got drunk, Scott got drunk, Barbara got drunk, so a typical camping experience. Greg dominated at Washers but I had a few games that I was in the running. Other than that nothing to exciting.

The weekend of the June 24th there is a festival called Intonation at Union Park that I will be volunteering at the KEXP booth so stop by and say hi, my times have yet to be set. But I'll be there on Saturday for sure.
