The Scoop

So nothing to much going on, xbox 360 has come into my possession. Celebrated my birthday with my mom on Tuesday (her birthday) and got this new blanket. Had some drinks this weekend and the Soprano's what a shock. Still haven't heard back about the job but did send an email and she said they are waiting to hear back from the company so it's all up in the air now. Going to St. Louis for a wedding of Barbara's friend. Eileen is driving, and Sat the 18th is Barbara's birthday, I think this gift is gonna shock her - in a good suprised way. That's it I'm out

Sorry as has been requested (what was the gift) - I ended up getting her diamond solitare earrings.

Pearl Jam is playing Chicago

Pearl Jam is playing at the United Center on May 16th. Not sure when tickets for general public go onsale but the last show of them I saw there was awesome. Plus if you want there is a free download of their new single slated for May 2nd release.

Lets see what else is up. Went out to dinner with my Dad, Barbara, and Barbara to Rain in Geneva for a birthday dinner. It was excellent I had some calamari apps, steak and lobster and some of the best cheese cake ever for dessert. I would suggest it to anyone if you are in the area, although one note no jeans for guys. Been waiting to hear back about the interview but haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully this somehow works out. I'm gonna head to Oak Park tonight and then I think up to Libertyville on Thursday. The OC makes it return - hope some new drama ensues.

Interview oh Interview

So I had my interview with the staffing agency and all seems to have went well, I was told they are only sending my resume to the client and that she would let me know real soon, so it looks some what promissing.

Saturday dinner was good, had the 1 lb. of Alaskan Crab legs. Got to listen to Jenny and Sara get drunk and crack jokes on me (real great) and then drive back. Following up with a Sunday night of watching the whole pre oscar and oscar show - so so so long, and not entertaining, but alas these things choose us we don't choose them.

30 is old

So where to begin? Thursday after applying for several jobs I actually got a call baack and have an interview on Monday. That's where the good really ends. So I start printing up some of my work to add into my portfolio and the frick'n printer screws up, then after hours of wasting prints I run out of ink, so I go to Office Depot for a replacement - they don't sell them. Now all this is going on as I am trying to get everything done by 3 so I can go to libertyville for a haircut. Well needless to say that didn't happen. Ended up having to buy them in Vernon Hills and then drive back on Saturday morning to print the stuff. Sucks.

So Friday was Duff's 30th birthday, and he had a party, at a bar. Free drinks and our friends, well lets just say everyone had a good time. Dropped my camera and busted the lens piece up, took 30 minutes to fix which I still find hard to believe we fixed it. I say we as Jason helpped by bending it back so it would fit, but only after dropping it into his beer.

When that cleared out BA and I went to Jack Maron (doing about 110mph) for a drink and then ended up heading to Denny's not so good. Was pretty out of it there, but alas got some food. Got up this morning drove to my Dad's house and have been working since. Dinner Club at Cy's Crabhouse tonight, should be good. that's the scoop, you heard it here first.



Duff had to much Fun

The Midnight Oil Burning the 25th hour away

So we burned the midnight oil this weekend and well into this week. Friday went out with Barbara to Penny's Thai restruant damn those cripy rolls are good. Heard from Wilson which I hadn't in a long time. Then went back and watched a Demi Moore movie of some sort but didn't make it to the end. Then Saturday we went out to a bar around the area and Ba met up with us. Many a cocktail later we headed back and I watched as BA and Barbara took down a pizza as well as a bag of chips and salsa, wow was I impressed. Sunday was a lounge day and we just kicked it, over to Menards for some door supplies, as I was putting in a simple peep hole that has manifested into a $40 project. All that is left finally is some matching paint.

Applied for some new jobs and am off to libertyville for a haircut Thursday. Sweet. That's it I guess, call if you want to go out or something, gosh.
