So there was a trip

First, Jennifer I love you, you are the best waitress ever! Now onto the rest of everything.

So Thursday night awaiting if Ryan would have to plow snow or not we went driving in the snow storm, then stopped off for some beer at the local Jewel. Headed back to his place and found out he was in the clear for the evening and proceeded to drink a case of beer and half a bottle of jager. Way to start off the trip. First Thursday I can remember missing the OC. So sad.

Friday morning showered and the driver picked us up. We are out to Vegas. After a drive we arrived at midway to find out we had an hour delay because of the previous nights over shoot of the runway. So we got a drink and Ryan loved the fact that the shirts were multiplying as we met Gary. Gary decided to take a $290 voucher and a later flight, I was like I'm getting the hell there. Then we went to Vegas.

Some pictures of the trip to follow at: this place

Monday we got to the airport to find light security and was to our gate with about two hours to spare. Got some expensive Subway and boarded an early flight back to Chicago. Saw a medical emergency, the lady in the seat in front of had. Something about blood pressure of 60 and then an IV and Oxygen tank got brought out. Landed just find and took the stretch back to Ryan's home. Got my car, went to my mom's house cooked some dinner and went to sleep. Forever.

Drove back to Wayne on Tuesday had some dinner and went back to sleep.

Wednesday– I'm back to normal or as much as I can be. Worked basically all day getting my resume back in order and am going out tonight. Damn the weekend is almost here.

So I've got everything wrapped up and together for Vegas. Planning this stuff is such a joy.Anyhow off to Vegas tomorrow morning at 10.30am so Vegas here I come, let's hope there is some winnning still in the cards for me. I'm off, it's snowing like crazy right now so time to hit the roads.

So have you Heard?

So this may come as a big surprise, cause it did to me. Got called into a meeting late Friday and got layed off. That's right I am looking for a new job so anyone out there with some leads that would be awesome. Really not to excited about this. So that put a hell of a damper on the weekend, but I prevailed.

Ended up going out hardcore Friday, you know fix the problem that way. right. Sunday saw Fiona Apple at the Riv, the show killed, it was a little cold getting there and waiting to get in but well worth it. Was no more than 35 feet from dead center stage. Perfect view for me. Then took the El out to Oak Park. COLD, welcome to chicago.

So if you know of any leads let me know, I am totally interested.

Way to Go Marissa

Gotta say way to go Marissa, finally you stop feelin bad and move on. Good for you. That's right OC was on last night… minus the texting (Poor Jenny). Anyway the episode was up to snuff and I think it is starting to gain some steam again, I feared it was headed down a bad street.

Stopped to get a sandwich before the show at Subway and was there for 15 minutes while the register jockey tried to figure it out. I was worried I wasn't gonna make it home in time, but then remembered good old Tivo. So I had my sandwich and watched the show, and took the dogs out, man it was cold. Watched some tivoed Family Guy and then some laundry and then off to sleep.

One week till I'll be in Vegas. It's coming up quick. This weekend I'm all over the place, but Sunday night is the Fiona Apple show at the Riv so I am stoked for that.

Music from episode 308
Nine Black Alps "Unsatisfied"
Dios Malos "Everyday"
BRMC "Open Invitation"
The Talk "N.Y. L.A"
Petra Haden & Bill Frisell "Yellow"
