WoW what a weekend / week

so sorry it has been a hectic week already… following a hectic weekend. Let's see where did I leave off? Well Thursday night I met up with Cahill after work and went to dinner, meeting Fran, and Scott and Shelly and Julie and Vince, and some of Dave's friends out for what I have come to know as the busiest going out drinking night of the year. It was cold when we left, crashed at Cahills on the couch and there was an attempt to watch Sin City… it failed.

Thursday: Thanksgiving, drove back to my dad's and then went to thanksgiving @ a friend of Barbara's. Dinner was good, didn't eat too much, watched some football, you know the standard stuff. Drove up to Mundelin to drink with Dave and BA but with Fran's headache I got sleepy and fell asleep while they played Battlefront and Football. Although I did have some beers.

Friday: Lunner!!! Got up from the couch and headed with Dave to get fitted for tuxes for Ryan wedding. Ouch, pricey. then over to Cahill's for football and games. Still sore from that. Got an interception right out of the gate, but my body runs faster than my legs. After quite a bit of playing and starting snow fall, we all retreated inside for food, and board games, long day. Barbara showed up after work to join the party and we all got to wish Bonnie a happy birthday, in the morning (2am). Pictures are up on flickr.

Saturday: got a call my grandma had fallen and had to take her to the trama center. So after driving back to Libertyville, I drove her over there and got her stapled up, one hell of a gash 2-1/2" to the skull. They gave her some antibiotics to prevent an infection and that was that. Took a quick shower and headed out to Oak Park to meet Barbara for dinner. Great little place had some shrimp, she had some risotta. Drinks, and good times. Wathced Skeleton Key back at her place. Not to scary, although this is my second time seeing it.

Sunday: Headed up to Mundelin for the Bears game at Jake Morans. Good game, but man they got lucky. I didn't get there till almost half time. Talked to Tasha on the way, she had to pull off the road in Kansas cause of a tornado warning, at her mile marker. Danger Zone! Also picked up my ice skates for later this month. Had some frys and mozz sticks at morans and headed back home. Some pizza for dinner and some tv and phone conversations, then to sleep, so tired and not ready for work.

Monday: work..... boo. Long day, not too busy but long, got home and had dinner and just about immediately feel asleep.

Tuesday: back to the grind. Normal as usual. Work. Called about some stuff in Vegas, Hard Rock won't setup a craps table for a group of 10 for less than $100,000. BOO

Wed: Going out after work for some dinner. Just about a week till Vegas. Still gotta call our ride there. Getting down to the wire. Payday! Fiona this Sunday.

December is so frick'n busy. Good times… lates.

Twas the Weekend before Thanksgiving

Went to Woodfield after work Friday to help Greg out with some christmas stuff, then met BA and Duff and went to Journey's End for some dinner, the soup and pizza was great, and I ended up getting a free drink cause they messed up the order. We were going to go to Morans for a drink but the place was booked, the parking lot was almost triple parked. So we headed back and drank and watched some movies, "Dazed and Confused" and part of "Omega Code" not the greatest pick.

Saturday went to Ryan and Niki's shower, after stopping at Target to get them a gift. Greg wore a nice shirt and pants, he is so classy. The French restraunt was pretty good, and the cake kicked ass. When that ended we all went over to the Island tap for drinks and music. BA picked me up after that and we headed to Denny's for a late night snack. Good eats. Crashed on the couch.

Sunday drove back and chilled and cleaned up. Only 3 days this week. Tomorrow is already hump day.

....Little bitch

Another great showing. Julie Cooper kicked some ass and proved she is the uber bitch of the OC. Way to go. I also think Marissa is crazy for getting in the car with those guys, thus being a cataylst for the whole fight issue coming up. Also I am not so sure that guy would have backed down, but it is TV, so...

Tonight's the Night

That's right ladies and gents, OC - kicking it. I will be watching, of course. Basically I am stoked for this week to also be over but what will the weekend bring? I'll tell you Friday night dinner and drinking Saturday Ryan's Bridal shower or something like that, dinnerclub dinner, drinking. Sunday Recover. Short week next week. Sweet. I'll fill you in if the weekend goes that way and with much more exciting detail.

Oh yeah almost forgot in just less than 3 months I've had 1000 hits to the blog. Most likely it is all the people I know but I am sure that it isn't all you. Pretty cool for such a short period of time. peace.

Watch the OC tonight and text me...

IFC night

Watched some great movies / docs on IFC last night.

Love Liza
– a movie that follows the unexplained suicide of his wife Liza, website designer Wilson Joel (Philip Seymour Hoffman) turns to gasoline fumes and radio control vehicles while avoiding an inevitable conflict with his mother-in-law.

Punk: Attitude - A documentary on the music, performers, attitude and distinctive look that made up punk rock. This was an awesome doc on the subject with some really interesting info on the source of much of today's music.

Driving in the Rain

Almost got sideswiped last night driving home in the rain. Spun the Jeep alittle bit, but maintained full control. Then the guy just stopped next to me and waved me by, thanks asshole. I was in the left lane and he tried to floor it by me with about ten feet till the lanes merged. Anyhow I was a little tense after that. More than usual.

Got my next year of contacts in the mail, in just three days from the order date, minus the weekend. Not too bad and all for $100. Plus I didn't have to go to the eye doctor. Sweet. I hate that air gun they shoot at you eye.

FYI for those in the know, Vegas T minus 4 weeks.

Arrested Development Cancelled?

I heard this and must say that is is crap. The show is awesome and they are pulling it for the rest of November sweeps, to show reruns of Prison Break, WTF. Fox you are by far the biggest idiots I've ever heard or seen of. Suck one. Make sure you watch the remaining episodes this year cause that is it.

Can I just say, I love Chicago!

This weekend kicked ass. I won at poker, thanks Dave for hosting the event, it took awhile but I grinned it down. I took the winnings and had Bob Chin's with BA on Saturday for lunch. I ate too much lobster tail. I felt like I was gonna die I was so stuffed. Sorry I fell asleep Dave, and you couldn't go with. After that I went to the city for a party. Thumbs up. So Eileen's party envolved feats of strength as well a a doubles roll. The Banana squishing was great, I can't believe Bonnie got so grossed out. I was glad to get to see Robert again ( he was in from Ireland) and I was glad to meet Brian.

Thumbs down for working on Sunday. Boo. Got there and set up the cubes. Worked from 12:30 til 5:30, it was not how they say fun. Went home had a half a Subway sandwich and fell alseep.

Thursday Night and what not

So I drove straight from work to meet Cahill at her place, then we hopped a ride from her Dad and got some dinner at a local Hotdag stand, Good call Cahill. Got to watch the OC in High Def at Scottie Ks house, and Maddie barked at me. Got no love. Then we all went over to meet Colin and Bonnie and Robert and Dave S and Shelly and Dave F at a bar. Had 3 beers, not the giant ones. And then Dave F gave us a ride back to Cahills (thanks Dave). Drove back home and hit the hay. So sleepy

The OC was great, I thought it was pretty funny that Taylor didn't let Summer in cause she is gonna make a play on Seth. I was telling Cahill who acts like this, she pointed out that they are in High School and I am holding them to a slightly high standard. Correct. Anyhow good show, I love that that Jeri Ryan got busted by Julie.

Pennywise "Knocked Down "
Orange "No Rest For The Weekend"
Ladytron "Sugar"

Video Games are fun

Went and bought the new Stars Wars Battlefront 2 game, and I think I'm addicted to the game already. I must dominate the galaxy. Too bad I am terrible at the game. Oh well, I've been told practice makes perfect.

Looks like I'm gonna have Friday off this week. But not sure when I'll get out of work Thursday. I'm hoping but it isn't looking to good, already. 2 days till OC.

It's Back....

This weeks OC was up to par, and I am so glad they ended the whole dean of students plot line. I was worried they were going to drag it out. Parrot jokes are funny.

In other news I finally got my phone, and it works correctly. I've already had some problems on my end as a user, as the buttons are in different spots and such. But I did execute a three way call for the first time and it worked out well.

Friday night I worked late and really ended up doing nothing. But saturday we all got rocked. Me especially. Messed up my appointment time to get my haircut and ended up being an hour late. Then went out with BA Ryan Duff Marshall Becky and Dave, drinking @ around 4pm. Not everyone was there at 4 or at the end of the night but we did end up bowling.

Sunday went to Duffs for the game and a gallon of 1% milk got drank by Duff in under an hour and he didn't puke. I'm impressed. Drove back home and watch some tv. Working is so much fun.
