Went for Something and got Something better

Went to target last night to get the new Family Guy movie, and found this little gem. 10 years frickin old, shit. I remember the first time I saw this on VHS. Awesome movie and now it is in its fully restored length. Have yet to watch it but it appears to have added quite a lot back into the movie. So just think back and remember Mallrats, it ruled, screw the public opinion of it. ruled!

Then the cubs lost, boo. Maybe a few less homeruns given up? Why do we beat the great teams and lose to the shitty ones? Went out after for a beer then walked back to the old holdup (tear). and got a lift back to Vince's where my car was stationed. Gave Joe a lift home and talked about words. Then drove home. Long night for a loss, but still worth it. See yah Wrigley, yeah I'll be back next year. Damn.

Plenty of drinking to ensue. Hopefully end up in a trailor with some waitresses. Who knows, plenty of bunnies there, and with these claws, and teeth, and these fuckin' claws!

The OC kills but the Storm stops

So watching the OC last night and enjoying every moment, untill with like 5 minutes left in the episode, I see satellite one trying to aquire signal. I'm like please don't go out, then satellite 2 trying to aquire signal, please don't go out, then scramble, then blank. Came back on right as Kristen comes home. So frickin pissed!!. Worked the whole rest of the evening. Finally Jenny filled me in with the final scoop, but it wasn't the same. sad.

The Baseball pictures are up and ready to be viewed, sorry it took so long, I know this was like the begining of sumeer and stuff.

Almost got Killed by a Wide Load

On the drive into work, after just making it past the railroad crossing and missing the train I came up to a stoplight with a wide load semi in the center of two lanes. Light changes and it appears he is getting into the left of the two lanes, so I jump into the right lane and punch it, just as he starts turning right. Slam on the brakes, and say to myself, "Oh, that's what he was doing." Then finished the drive to work. Way to start the morning.

Devil's Lake

Devil's Lake
So here is the ditty on the weekend. After getting off work on Friday at 5:45pm I drove over to the Jewel and got some eggs and chips and beer and ice for the camping trip. Loaded the car up in the parking lot and started the drive to Devil's lake, Wisconsin. I decided to buy an audio book to pass the time and took off down 88 West. I was listening to Ann Rice's Memnoch the Devil, which ended up being really good although it was abridged. Mad some pretty good time and set up the tent with Julie and Colins help. Thanks guys. Drank some beers and had the park ranger tell us not to burn treated wood but that we were safe since we were up wind. Went to sleep and watched part of Garden State on the PSP. Woke bright and early to kids yelling at the camp site over. So sweet! Then made eggs for the campers and had some myself, they were good. Then head down in the Kolasa's car to the Lake and hike up some rocks and then hike up some more rocks, then down some rocks, saw some rocks that were balanced on each other. The girls left for the beach and lunch and the guys hiked up some rocks and then Scott set up some climbing for us, we all did some climbing and then we hiked down some rocks. Overall great time, and no one got hurt. Meet back up with the girls and got the keys to the car for lunch and had some meats and chips. Went back to the camp site after buying some PBR and Ice and cheddar brats. Showered and had some dinner. And chatted. Drank the beers and went to sleep, after seeing a Banana boat made and hearing what is now my favorite thing in the world, " You have to eat as much as you can before you fall asleep." Or something to that degree but that I think is close. Thank you Shelly, thank you. Saw Colin and Gary play catch with a glow stick and then cleaned up and went to bed.

Guess what kids in the morning again. Got scared by what I refer to as two raccoons looking at me out of their tent. Packed up the gear and drove caravan style past the runners, and meet up at the ferry. Almost lost $1.25 to the Gatorade machine but got lucky. The owner of the machine hooked me up. Took the ferry across the river/lake and then had some breakfast in town. I supposedly ordered a lot but Gary had the most French toast I ever saw. Then we saw some ducks and Scott tried to feed them corn but forgot to put his hand under the dispenser. I laughed my ass off. Then we all parted ways. Awesome trip. Couldn't have asked for better weather or more fun of a time.

OC with another rock em sock um

Tonight episode was no season opener, but still delivered the goods. I had a shady feeling about Kristin's AA buddy and bam I was right, Hating that chick. Summer and Seth are actually acting like a normal well balance couple, Bravo! And as it looks Ryan and Marissa are gonna get even closer. Jimmy just seems to not be able to get anything right and I have a sneaking notion he's gonna get a hit on him, or at least something broken. Prediction for the cash... to his daughter from his affair, see you all already forgot about Ryan's "other girl". So that's it another week in the bag.

Music Episode 302

a Camping we will Go

So going up to Devils Lake for the weekend camping, and stuff. I don't think you could ask for a better weekend. It should be a good time, and it's only 3hrs to there. We'll see... off from work there tomorrow. Oh yeah it's Thursday, The OC yes!

Weird wild Dreams

I had a dream Sunday night that I was in middle school again, but I was my age now. Really weird, I think Napoleon Dynamite was in my class, and everyone had customized locker. But it was Highland, really weird. Then I woke up and went to work. Super.

Sunday Fun Day?

After a wonderful rest in the chair, I called Cahill to see if she would drop off my keys to my car. She agreed but I'm pretty sure she wasn't super excited about it. Drove back to Vince's and got my keys and then headed in a rush towards Libertyville train station. Dave talked about the world and I died alittle inside, I cryed, we hugged it out. In reality we just talked about nothing and he drove. Tried to come up with something for Papak's bachlor party, got to my super warm inside car and sweated all the way to my mom's where, a shower finally woke me up. Saw part of the game at Duff's and headed over to Dan and Julies but by the time I was near, everyone had left so I just kept going. Stopped at Woodfield to check out the Nano. Sold out of them, big suprise. Then stopped at target to get the makings for salsa. Got back to my Dad's place and ended up putting to much Cilantro in the Salsa so it taste weird. Then watched Rome and went off to sleep. Sorry I missed you all at Dan, and Julies. Boo on me.

a Wine Taste & another race

Wine Tastes
Originally uploaded by the carlisle.
Saturday got my haircut and then hopped a train from Libertyville to Union Station. Then walked over to the park where the Wine tasting event was going on. After I arrived I was sweating like crazy from the walk but as the night came by it started to cool down. Drank some of the best Champagne I've ever had, (2004 - Bricco Riella Moscato d'Asti) and it is cheap stuff. Then took a bus over to Kirby's and went dog walking while Cahill got ready. Then jumped in a cab over to Mutiny's to see Germany play. Of course they rocked the house. PBR is good drinking. It was super cold so it was super. Saw a parked bike, bike race. Then waited for the El for days. Ended up with some burrito of some sort, still wondering what kind of meat was in the burrito that I ended up eating. Then crash on DaveS chair, FYI super comfortable.

Eating @ Bills

Friday night made it in record time from Naperville to Libertyville. There was no traffic anywhere, it was great. Went by my mom's house to get the mail and man there was a ton of it, if I signed up for every credit card they sent me I would have a lot of credit cards. Headed over to meet BA to get some dinner. Had drinks and food at Bills Pub by far the best pizza in the area. Then went back to Jake Morans to watch the cubs game. BA started rooting for the Giants so I put a Hex on the Sox. And low and behold they lost. Yes. After numerous drinks (7&7) we went back and played some video games at the Daves house. Crashed out on the couch, Oh yeah dave's neighbor came over to tell us to turn down the music and BA said he said, "Can you please turn the music down a wave of bass just hit my house." So we turned it down and played video games. Sorry Dave.

Oh how I've missed you

Tonight's OC rocked the frick'n house down. Between all the text messages and that move Julie Cooper made. Oh my god. By far one of the best episodes. Not only that but the way they had the plot line moving was great. I forgot how much I missed the show. I am wondering how Trey will do in Las Vegas, as that is where his bus was heading. But for once the main character kids are together and were happy, which hasn't happened in awhile. Overall on a 10 scale I give this episode a 8.9 just for all the events that the episode is surely setting up. It's gonna be a long ride and I'm buckled up and ready for it.

Gonna do this too. The music from Episode 301

Manishevitz "Beretta"
The 88 "Hide Another Mistake"
Ian Broudie "Song for No One"
Teen Wolf "Way to Go"
Bloc Party "Blue Light" (Enigneers Anti Gravity Remix)

It's a Big Night The OC is back!!!!

I can not contain my excitement. Tonight at 7pm The OC returns to fox. I will be in front of the boob tub for that!

The Hush Sound

This band is out of the chicagoland area, and Davef turned me onto them. If you've got the time go check them out. You can listen to 3 sounds for free from their up coming album. The link is the title above. Seriously check it out, they're good. There is a show coming up on Oct. 8th.

The Labor Day Burger and Sun

So it's Monday finally and work is just around the corner, BOO. BA and I decided to watch some of the Sox game and Cubs game at my Dad's place and Court TV was showing Fastlane all day so we watched that too. I made some killer hamburgers and we chatted it up with my Dad and Barbara, while the dogs ran and slept. BA took off and I watched Constantine, not too bad. Fell alseep, and woke up mad about having to go to work. Goodbye sweet Labor Day weekend.

Sunday oh Sunday

After having some awesome hotdogs at 12:30am, BA said he was going to sleep so I watched some TV and then hit the hay. Woke up later than the day before, but still early. Found out my Dad was going to a Wedding at Navy Pier and he needed me to let the dogs out. So I headed back to Wayne, and stopped off at BestBuy and Walmart, talk about packed. Got Constantine, and Billy Madison. Billy Madison was only $7.99! Let the dogs out and then BA and I went to downtown old St. Charles had an awesome burger, and some beers. Then went back and watched Super Troopers before heading out for some entertainment. Crashed and Burned around 3:30am after watching the puppets on the televison. Wow what a night, only one day to go, rest where are you?

The Kolasa Big Move

So after a hell of a Friday night, and 3-4 hours of sleep, I was awoke by Dave S, telling me it was time to go move boxes. Yes. So we moved boxes and I drank the coffee, (which I don't drink) but it was great to kick it up a level. Got to the new house and moved boxes again. Watch couches go through doors and windows, and into basement and other places. Set stuff in places and watched the cable guy "hook them up" with cable. Had the grilled meats which were great. And watched the dog get sprayed like crazy with a hose, to have'm like you more. Watched some of the new tv and showed the Kolasa's how to use their new InDemand Comcast cable for free. Then BA picked me up and we went back to drink in the basement. We bought some drink called Sparks, don't ever try this stuff! Taste like smarties, and that is terrible. Was up till 1 having drinks and watching the tv. A mellow night if you will. The picts are of the people that were sitting around whilst Dave S told us about the new infastructure being put into place in Germany, and their current geopolitical climate. Just messing. But he was telling us something, I think?

Later, after the Police but before the Race

this is an audio post - click to play

So after being interscepted by the police on the streets of downtown Chicago, we happened upon a race track across from the bar we were going to go too. As Dave and Vince raced, there was time to try out the audio blogging system, which you hear above. After Dave's victory we went into the bar and had drinks until 4am, I think. Then back to Dave S for some more late night crinks. Fryday was a late night and that was just the first day of the weekend. Thanks to all for the best kick off night of the labor day weekend.

Dish Sucks and "it's gone"

My Dad has finally had enough of Dish network and has made the switch to Direct TV and so far it is 100% better. The thing actually works, and thus is better. For months the damn tv menu on Dish would only list what shows were on at that exact moment and cut the sound of the show you were watching off. No more. Via la DirectTV. PS the weekend is only 8 hours away... sweet!

The Wonderful Weekend to Follow

I am getting pretty excited about this weekend. There is the big "Kolasa Move" out of the city, scores of possible BBQs and the forecast of great weather. I predict better things to come, I'll let you know how that pans out in future post. For now let me be the first to wish you safe travels, and fun times this weekend. I know I'll enjoy the extra day off – possibly sleeping in on a Monday for a change.
