So spent the last 3 days in Kansas City, for my friend G's wedding. Saw a bunch of people that I hadn't seen it a long time and had several really late evenings. Friday I flew out of O'hare on what I can only describe as the smallest plane ever. Got into town and headed straight to John's Upper Deck, a bar in downtown KC. Then went to good old Waldo Bar and grill off of Wornall. Ended up at Sean's and was up there till about 6am at which time I had to call it quits.
Saturday was the wedding and it was @ 6:30pm so I ended up getting some sleep. Had some Chipotle for lunch and then got dressed for the wedding. Had several drinks at the reception and then went back to Waldo for a few more. Then went on to stay up playing poker till 8am.
Sunday before my flight I went with Sean to his nieces birthday party, and felt just dandy at that. Flew back to good old Chicago in yet a smaller plane, and got to unboard the plane onto the tarmac at O'hare, so that tells you how small it was. Got pick right up and stopped a Super Target for some food on the way home.
Overall KC was good, but man I don't miss the heat there. But I'll be back in October for Fahey's wedding and the temp should be much better.
